Ingredient Notes
Below is a list of ingredients needed for this recipe. Follow my tips on each ingredient for best results.
- All-purpose flour – I love bread flour but for this one I used all purpose flour for the best result. Have a little extra for dusting the work surface.
- Baking powder – This helps them get an awesome and fluffy texture. If your baking powder has lumps then sieve it into the flour before mixing.
- Kosher salt – This adds tones of flavor. If you want to use pink Himalayan salt then you need to use about half less than regular salt.
- Yogurt – I have tried lots of different ones and I find that the plain nonfat Greek yogurt works best. If it is too thick, you can thin it with some water before using.
- Egg – Beat the egg before using. This will be used for the egg wash which adds color as well as the lovely crust.
- Everything bagel seasoning – I use this as I love it, but you can use any you like.

Bintu’s Hint and Tips
Here are some tips for easier cooking.
- Feel free to use self-rising flour. Just omit the baking soda from the recipe
- To avoid sticking, use parchment paper or a Silpat on your baking sheet.
- Leave space between the bagels to allow them room to expand. If your air fryer is small, you will need to bake them in multiple batches.
- Be sure to use milk Greek yogurt and drain any excess liquid from the yogurt. If the yogurt is too thick, then thin it out with a bit of water.
- Easily double or triple the recipe to make more.
- If your dough is too wet, add more flour. If it’s too dry, add more yogurt.

Delicious Variations
I really love switching things up in the kitchen. Here are some variations for you to try if you want something a little different.
- Add a topping – please use stuff in your spice rack like sesame or poppy seeds, minced dried onion or garlic or pre-mixed bagel seasonings. I also use cheddar cheese.
- Mix it in – add flavors by stirring some mix-ins into the dough like chopped strawberries, whole blueberries, shredded cheese, chopped herbs, or your favorite seasonings.
- Slather it on – slather your homemade bagels with cream cheese, jelly, peanut butter, apple butter, pumpkin butter, or chocolate-hazelnut spread.
- Pile it high – Bagels are perfect for sandwiches. Add bacon or sausage and egg for a delicious breakfast sandwich. Or top them with deli meat, chicken salad, or fresh veggies for a tasty lunch. Add grilled or fried chicken, cheese, and a bit of marinara for a satisfying supper. Do it your way.
- Repurpose bagels – If you can’t eat them all within three or four days you can, chop them into chunks and season with butter and garlic, and bake in the oven until toasty for delicious homemade croutons. Or make bagel chips by slicing them into thin rounds, then season and bake in the oven or air fryer until crispy. Or dip them in an egg mixture and fry for a unique twist on French toast.

Prep Ahead And Storage
This recipe for Air Fryer Greek Yogurt Bagels is perfect for prepping ahead.
- Prep Ahead – Make the dough ahead and store the already shaped dough in the fridge. When you’re ready to bake a few, remove them from the fridge and let them come to room temperature for about an hour. Then bake as directed according to the recipe below. The dough may be stored for up to 3 days.
- Store – Uneaten bagels can be stored on the counter for up to 24 hours when wrapped. Store them in the fridge for longer storage, up to 5 days.
- Freeze – Cook them as directed, cool, and slice. Wrap individual bagels in foil or plastic wrap and then store them in a ziploc bag.
- Reheat – In an oven, toaster, or air fryer until warm.

Pair With
I love eating them hot by themselves and but also that these can be paired with so many things. I am talking the best ever Chocolate Hummus, easy peasy Air Fryer Hard Boiled Eggs, as well as Dill Pickle Dip and Strawberry Compote.

I’m in awe about these bagels. They look perfect and no yeast. Marvelous!
I’m really not making the most of my air frier. I really must make these although I think I’ll skip the multi colour bake off ones.
